Community Connections

Ascension has been in the Nelson Pride Parade since the first parade in 1995.

At that time, our serving pastor walked as an individual in a tense event in our city.

In time, our membership at Ascension grew to support the Pride Parade and the LGBTQA+ Community.

We now have a team that joyfully represents us in the Pride Parade every year. In 2024 as seen in these pictures, we served Sherbet and Sorbet to participants and walked in the parade. We began serving Sherbet in 2023 and it was very appreciated.
