Many years of dedicated planning and development have gone into making Ascension's garden.
There are two lovely benches for people to sit on. Flowers include many rhododendrons, quite a few varieties of perennials, and a Dogwood tree.
The Book Nook is a great place to "get a book" or "share a book".
It is well used by the community of Rosemount, so we fill it often!
Garden plots are available for members of the public to use. These are one way of helping to provide food security to people in our neighbourhood. Plots are available on a first come, first served basis.
Having a pollinating garden is integral to the project. In the summer, butterflies and bees are attracted to many of the
blooming plants.
Creating hand-made clay plaques was a new challenge and a great success. These small plaques commemorate people who are loved and who have passed on.
Memory plaques are in place with their corresponding shrub or plant. We are hoping many more will be situated over time.
