Bible Study
Learning and growing our faith is an important aspect of being Lutheran. Every Sunday we have scripture lessons and a sermon reflecting on the lessons. Periodically we participate in video studies through the Lutheran Lay Academy of the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon.
Every month a group gathers for a Bible Study at Ascension.
In 2019 we studied the Gospel of Luke; during 2020 we’ve been using the book, Making Peace with the Land, as a resource for study and reflection. Our retired pastor, Pastor Nolan, leads this study group for us; we always have coffee/tea and treats!
Everyone is welcome to participate. It is a low key, interesting and relaxing study time.
COVID-19 and restrictions have ended our gatherings for study. We do continue with ONLINE Zoom based studies. During Lent (Feb & March 2021) we have Wednesday Evening Studies. For Zoom link, contact ascensionlutheranchurch.nelson@gmail.com
